In 1981 the store’s name was changed to Macy’s which had purchased Lasalle’s decades earlier. In 1985 Macy’s sold this and other locations in the area to Elder Beerman. In 2003 Elder-Beerman was acquired by Bon-Ton’s in 2003, but the Elder Beerman name remained on the building until 2018 when the store was closed. The building was demolished in March of 2023.
